Hi! Sorry for the late reply. That’s a small cave on the north end of Sand Dollar Beach right across from Plaskett Creek Campground on the way up to big sure. You can go into the cave for about 20-30 feet. We thought it was a cool little feature, since sand dollar beach had absolutely zero sands dollars on it when we visited haha. I really need to finish that video!

I swear our kids are like a foot shorter than everyone else their age. Saved atleast $5 bucks with height pricing haha

For real, We liked it a lot more than we expected too. It’s really prefect for younger kiddos since they are still too small to enjoy the giant slides of the large water parks. I think the only thing the cove was missing that we like from bigger parks is the wave pool, but even without it we stayed at the cove almost the entire day.

Not that we can remember. But they do have free wifi near the camp store. It wasn’t super reliable, and it didn’t reach to our camp spot, but we were able to receive email

Yeah that would be a bunch of work with 4 at there ages, I think once the twins turn 6 you’ll have a much easier time with Zion. Sticking to only exploring the stops with the shuttle would help a lot as well.

Yeah we were using free frame mode and cropping into one of the tighter modes in the app. Not wide but narrow and the one directly above it. What helped us the most when filming was having the kids wear tighter fitting shirts so the pendant stays as stationary as it can. They definitely can’t run or jump much if you’re looking for long stretches of smooth footage. For that I would recommend having them wear a hat and use the hat clip accessory. But the more fitted shirts helped a lot for when we were out exploring and we were just strolling around.

@@Califoreigners thanks for the swift reply. Ok I thought about the fitted clothes but I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something I was missing lol. That’s unfortunate as the pendant was one of the things that sold me to buy the go3

@alphabull No problem we try to answer as quick as possible. Hopefully you don’t give up on the pendant, it’s our favorite accessory on all our adventures. While the stabilization can still go wonky the camera is crazy versatile compared to anything else on the market. For us, the candid moments of the kids the microphone picks up when they are doing their own thing ended up being our for favorite shots. Hilarious stuff :) But yeah, outside of that I hope you see an improvement in your footage with that shirt tweak

Yeah we’ve seen the dinosaurs from the freeway and always wondered why it wasn’t open, while it doesn’t sound like they changed a lot from what you mentioned. Our girls fell into the age group that never got to experience the original Dino Quest so I’m happy it’s atleast reopened for the next round of kiddos to enjoy.

@@Califoreigners the playground was open to run around, mostly used as a space for school groups to eat and blow off steam, but the interactive elements were not available so it all kind of felt like an abandoned theme park attraction. I’m glad they did finally bring it back too, I wish they had done it sooner!

Unfortunately we forgot to check for a toilet when we rode it. We’ve heard that they don’t have one, but also that they do have one only for emergency’s so it’s a bit confusing. I “think” that one is one the bottom floor. As for toilets we know of. We used the ones located inside the Summerset House building where the buses embark from. We used those restrooms before and after the tour without issues. It’s very close and looked like an interesting museum as well.

It’s pretty awesome. Way better than any go pro I ever had. We used it this weekend and got some hilarious videos from the kids haha.

They have a bunch of signs posted saying you can’t record on the ride so we bought it so we could use it in the video. Though we do see plenty of folks ignore the signs and record anyway.

@@CaliforeignersI actually went a few hours ago and they didn’t give me an issue. I had a go pro attached to a Volta which had a little strap around my wrist. The female looked at it again but never said anything.

Hello! The tickets are only used when you buy a course/set from the menu. A set comes with 5or6 cooked dishes and a certain amount of tickets. Each fish or crustacean in the pools cost a set amount of tickets to cook. An example would be a horse mackerel fish costing two tickets. We did it a different way. We ordered a couple or appetizers and rented fishing poles (about 100ish yen a pole) and paid market price for the fish we caught. In total we caught two fish and it was enough for us because we also ate a ton of street food around Dotonbori which is only about 100yards away. Hope that helps!

It was a fun family oriented way to tour London for sure! And so great to see all the kids on the bus having such a good time. It’s like they knew this was all for them, and they made the most of it :) The little one wanted to do the tour again the next day haha.

We didn’t have any signal. I only remember because a friend we were with was trying to find service for an important call.

It's a strong magnet, and the only time our oldest managed to pop it off was when she was doing a bunch of cartwheels(that was not good footage haha). But the selfie stick/tripod we were using in the video was designed to use that quick attach magnetic system that snaps in. To take it off you'll have to press a button to release what's clipped in.

Yeah it’s shockingly fun to dig through the footage. I was laughing so much by the things the girls were saying when Trang and I weren’t right next to them. You should definitely try it out on your next family video!

@@Califoreigners Thanks for the info. I went to the website and tried to make a reservation, but they are asking for a fee of 4400 yen to reserve a table. Did you have to pay 4400 to reserve a table on top of the cost of the food? How does it work? Thx

@@dannynguyen76 Unfortunately we don’t know about a fee. When we got into the area Trang walked over and asked if any time was available for dinner and luckily a table was. So we got to go right in. Since you got some time before your trip, I suggest emailing them or dming them on their Instagram about the reservation fee. Hopefully it’s put towards the price of the meal and the fee is only for cancellations/no shows.

Sorry to hear you haven’t snagged one yet. We’ve heard they’re incredibly difficult to book, so we haven’t tried to book a cottage there yet. But if it’s anything like the other state parks, Trang will normally call all the numbers she can find and ask someone what’s the earliest possible date and time to book a cabin for a specific weekend. (a lot of times it can be 4 to 6 months out). Then on the day of, she’ll be online at midnight or 6am refreshing until the date unlocks. It’s pretty ridiculous, but the only way we’ve managed to snag a camp sight other then getting lucky with a random cancellations. We also think we get luckier booking sites on a desktop or laptop plugged into the router and not on wifi, since you can refresh and get through the booking process faster with a keyboard and mouse. It’s not a guaranteed way to get a site but that’s pretty much the process we use. Hope that helps!
